A relaxed, small-group workshop where you'll explore intuitive painting with mixed media
What happens when you stop worrying about getting it right?
Together we'll explore acrylics and mixed media through colour, texture, layering and mark making in a relaxed and supportive environment. Rather than following a painting step by step, you'll be encouraged to experiment, trust your instincts and discover your own way of working, with gentle guidance throughout.
Whether you've never picked up a paintbrush or you're returning to creativity after years away, you'll be welcomed into a small group where there's time to explore at your own pace.
By the end of the session you'll leave with your own unique artwork, new ideas to continue exploring at home, and perhaps a different way of thinking about creativity.
No experience needed. All materials provided.

Intuitive Abstract Painting Workshop
24 June 2026 | Haddenham, Buckinghamshire
The first Journey Matters workshop marked the beginning of what I hope will become a growing series of small, thoughtful creative gatherings.
Together we explored intuitive painting through colour, texture and mixed media, with each participant discovering their own way of working. There were no demonstrations to copy and no expectation of a perfect outcome, just time, guidance and the freedom to experiment.
By the end of the morning, every painting was different, reminding us that creativity isn't about following the same path, but finding your own.
